The Loveshack is located on the shore of Lake Rotoiti at Okere Falls 20km from Rotorua city off S.H.33 to Tauranga. A self contained lake side cottage that is perfect for that Romantic Break you deserve. Relax amongst the native garden or bring your own boat and try your luck at fishing for Rainbow Trout or just play on the water.
Visit the many bays and beaches including the famous Manupirua Hot Pools which are only accessible by boat. On your return tie up at the jetty and step ashore. If you don’t have your own boat, charter our boat, “Ratanui”. See our web page Classic Cruises for more information.
You can also use the rowing / sailing dinghy or kayaks provided to explore our local Okere inlet. Visit the Okere Falls Store & Beer Garden by boat or a short stroll. There are numerous activities close by including boat rides, bush walks, white water rafting, golfing, mountain biking and thermal attractions. The Loveshack is also Pet Friendly.
For larger groups wishing to book the Love Shack, and needing an additional bedroom , the Pohutukawa room can be used as part of the total accommodation of the Loveshack. The Pohutukawa room is only rented as part of the Love Shack, not independently, and so guests are assured of an exclusive rental.
The room is equipped with queen bed, tv, small kitchenette & en-suite. The "Pohutukawa" room is very private, with wonderful lake views over a native bush setting. Please enquire separately for this room.
